Course Overview

Whether your passion lies in civil, software, electronic, electrical, mechatronic or mechanical engineering, the Undergraduate Certificate of Engineering will provide you with the core knowledge to pursue further study in your preferred area of specialisation. Upon successful completion of this course, you may qualify for entry into one of Macquarie’s Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) degrees.

What You Need To Apply

1. Australian Year 12 results and proof of completion, or overseas equivalent (where applicable). Official English translation if your results are not in English.
2.
 Academic transcript of your previous tertiary studies (where applicable). Official English translation if your results/transcripts are not in English.
3.
 Proof of English proficiency (where applicable)
4.
 Proof of Australian/New Zealand citizenship or permanent residency
5.
 Proof of name change (where applicable)

Academic & English Entry Requirements

Completed HSC, interstate Australian year 12, IB and overseas equivalent.

Achieved HSC Mathematics Band 3 and above or Extension 1 Band E2 and above or Extension 2 completed, or equivalent.

For applicants who need to provide evidence of English language proficiency, the minimum requirements using the Academic IELTS scale are as follows: 

IELTS overall score: 6.5 
IELTS reading: 6 
IELTS writing: 6 
IELTS listening: 6 
IELTS speaking: 6
